Alps project

The Alps Project is a mid-‐time amazing adventure that involves climbing and travelling between five different countries. In his effort to reduce the costs of the project, Edu and Novato will travel with only two camera’s operators specialized in mountain and outdoor filming, also with a drone for the aerials. The filming crew will travel together with Edu and Novato but in a different car with all his climbing, shooting and drone equipment.

Starting in the modest Pyrenees, the Marin’s are going to climb ORBAYU, one of the most difficult big walls in the world, located in the beauty of Picos De Europa.

2

Next stop will be Chamonix and Courmayeur, in both sides of Mont Blanc, climbing the famous granite spire Grand Capuccin by his most difficult route, VOIE PETIT, reaching 8b grade at almost 3.800m.
But climbing higher than 3.500m is not easy and require time, so both climbers Edu and his father will climb first the shorter DIGITAL CRACK 8a at Cosmiques Ridge to reach the perfect acclimatization, before starting with their challenge in VOIE PETIT.

3

When first part of the trip will be done, both climbers will now drive to Lofer in Austria’s Sudtirol to measure their strength with SANSARA, one of the pre-‐Alps climbing jewels, consisting in three main roofs featuring very hard moves in all kind of climbing styles.

4

Finally the last and hardest breath-‐taken objective is the most technical climb in Wendenstock, the famous and challenging route ZAHIR PLUS which demands a strong mind to get to the top. As everybody knows, Switzerland is a very beautiful place but has a whimsical rainy weather, so father and son will remain in Wendenstock until they find good and sunny days to climb ZAHIR PLUS, which is the final climb of The Alps Project.

Climbing Schedule

Starting in June 2015 the whole climbing and filming project will take more than three months longer, ending in early September 2015. The detailed trip schedule is as follows:

This summer Torino Refuge will remain closed to complete modernization work on the building www.rifugiotorino.com, so from 29th June to 16th July both climbers Edu and Novato will stay in the base of Grand Capuccin with a tent and also in Refuge des Cosmiques for a better rest between climbing attempts or in bad weather periods.

August 3rd to August 14th

Second part of the trip will start in Lofer on 3rd August, going to SANSARA and staying in Grubhof lodges www.grubhof.com until 14th August.
